RMP3 (Remind-Me-Please 3) is a free personal agenda to help you remember all those important events you cannot afford to miss. It can be used to remind you privately or to remind selected users working in a network environment. The reminder for each event can be individually customized with a high level of flexibility.

You can organize your entries into events and tasks. Events are those important appointments you want to be reminded of well in advance. Each entry in the events form can be fully edited, classified, and customized so that RMP3 can remind you about it at the exact point in time required. For those events that take place regularly, you can set the program to remind you every day, week, month, year, etc., or use more flexible options, such as “every second week of the month”, “every Thursday”, “every 6 months”, “on the 3rd of each month”, and so on. When a series of events occur on the same date, you can distribute them in any of the 20 levels or “layers” provided.

The reminder itself can also be customized. You can set it to warn you any number of days, hours, and minutes before the event occurs, and as many times as you need. Besides, it allows you to change the default sound with your favorite music, and it even capable of launching the software tool of your choice.

Tasks, on the contrary, will be stored in a simple list of “things you know you need to do” but which do not have a specific date associated to them. You are supposed to check and edit this list regularly on your own, so do not expect RMP3 to send you reminders for any of these small events.

This free tool includes a calendar view that allows you to see all your important dates at a glance. It can show all events or just those belonging to a specific layer. Events can be listed and printed from here, as well as the pages of the calendar itself.

My (routine) installation of RMP3 on Vista and Win7 leaves an icon in the notification tray. Clicking on the icon brings up the editable reminders list.

I have been using RMP3 for a couple of years on Win 7 and I still haven't found out how to bring the reminders list up on screen to edit it except by re-booting the computer. The developer has to make any additions or deletions at start-up because that is the only time the list appears. Once the computer is running, opening the RMP3.exe file produces no visible effect. Otherwise, an excellent program.
